 11 companies propose guiding principles for self-driving vehicles | VentureBeat

Aptiv, Audi, Baidu, BMW, Continental, Daimler, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Here, Infineon, Intel, and Volkswagen — published a whitepaper (“Safety First For Automated Driving”) describing a framework for the development, testing, and validation of “safe” autonomous vehicles. 

No less interesting is the list of companies missing from the team:  Waymo, GM’s Cruise Automation, Zoox, Tesla,  Aurora, Uber ATG, Pony.ai, Nvidia, and Yandex’s driverless car division.
