Raw Signal Interfaces (RSI) class enables detailed mapping of lidar sensors. Thus, users now have a virtual model available in CarMaker for all real sensor technologies.
use several GPUs in parallel in order to use the new Lidar RSI as well as the already existing sensor models with high performance. For example, the raw data fusion of camera, radar, ultrasound and lidar can be tested in real time – in the case of extensive test catalogs also on an HPC system or in the cloud.
The Camera RSI camera model has also been enhanced with a new function: it is now possible to obtain semantically segmented image data. This is useful for training and validating algorithms based on artificial intelligence (AI).
